Terms of Use and Sale

Plain-English terms for accounts, search packs and refunds.

1. Who we are

Wardrobe Compass (wardrobecompass.com) is run by BDB BV, Markt 52, 9900 Eeklo, Belgium. Enterprise and VAT number: BE 0670.855.463. Email: [email protected].

2. Outfit Formula in short

  • You upload a photo of one clothing item; our AI suggests complete outfits with example pictures and shop links.
  • Suggestions are generated by AI. They're ideas, not professional advice, and can be wrong. Pictures are examples of the style, not the exact products. Check sizes, materials and prices at the shop.
  • Upload only photos you're allowed to use, of clothing. Don't upload photos of other people or anything illegal.

3. Your account

  • You get one free search a day without an account. More searches (and holding credits), saving your results, My look and See it on Elise need a free account (Sign in with Google). You must be at least 16; if you're under 18 you need a parent's or guardian's permission to buy a pack.
  • One account per person. Keep your Google account secure: searches used from your account count as yours.
  • You can delete your account at any time on your account page. Unused credits are then lost (ask for a refund first if you're within 14 days, see section 6).
  • We may suspend an account that abuses the service (for example automated uploads or attempts to get around the limits). If we close your account without a good reason, we refund your unused credits.

4. Free searches and search packs

  • What a search is: one photo analysed into a set of outfit suggestions. Browsing the alternatives within a result is free. If a search fails (for example our AI can't read the photo or isn't available), it isn't counted.
  • Free: 1 search per day per account (a day runs from midnight to midnight, Belgian time). Unused free searches don't carry over.
  • Packs: Starter €4,99 for 20 searches, Style €9,99 for 50 searches, Wardrobe €24,99 for 200 searches. Prices are in euro and include 21% Belgian VAT.
  • Credits from packs never expire. Each day your free search is used first, then your credits.
  • Credits are personal, can't be transferred or exchanged for cash, and only work on Outfit Formula.
  • We may change prices or packs in future; that never affects credits you already bought.

5. Payment and delivery

  • You pay on Stripe's secure checkout page, by card, Bancontact or a wallet such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  • Search packs are one-off payments: you pay once per pack and nothing renews. Plus is a monthly subscription that renews until you cancel (see 7a).
  • Stripe emails you a receipt. Need a VAT invoice for your business? Email us with your company details.
  • Your credits are added to your account straight after the payment is confirmed, usually within seconds.

6. Your right of withdrawal and refunds

As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Search credits are digital content that we deliver immediately. Before you pay, we therefore ask you to tick a box (it's never ticked in advance) to confirm that:

  • you want the credits delivered immediately, and
  • you understand that you lose your right of withdrawal for the credits you have already used (Belgian Code of Economic Law, art. VI.53, 13°).

For purchases from the last 14 days, your account page has a Withdraw from contract button. It records your notice straight away and shows a confirmation you can download. Refunds are not automatic: we check each one and pay it within 14 days.

Our refund policy is simple: a pack you haven't used at all can be refunded in full on request within 14 days of purchase. Email [email protected] from the email address of your account with the date of purchase (you may use the EU model withdrawal form, but you don't have to). We refund through Stripe to the same card or account within 14 days of your request and remove those credits from your account.

This doesn't limit your legal rights: if Outfit Formula doesn't work as described, you're entitled to a fix or a fair refund under the legal guarantee for digital content.

7. Links, shops and liability

  • "Shop this" links go to other shops (currently Zalando). Their terms and prices apply, and we're not responsible for their products or service. Some links may become affiliate links; see our affiliate disclosure.
  • We do our best to keep Outfit Formula running, but we can't promise it will always be available. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

7a. Wardrobe Compass Plus

Plus costs €4,99 per month including 21% VAT and renews every month until you cancel. It includes unlimited Outfit Formula searches for personal use (fair use: up to 40 a day), a saved wardrobe (up to 200 pieces) and a weekly outfit plan. You can cancel any time on the Plus page; Plus then stays active until the end of the month you paid for. Because Plus starts right away at your request, if you withdraw within 14 days of subscribing (with the Withdraw from contract button on your account page or by email) we stop the renewal and refund the unused part (pro rata). Search packs you bought stay on your account. Deleting your account cancels Plus immediately and deletes your saved wardrobe.

Some Outfit Formula carousels may include one option paid for by a shop, labelled "Sponsored · by [shop]". How they are chosen is explained on How Outfit Formula picks matches. Your purchase contract is with that shop.

7c. My look and “See it on Elise”

My look shows your piece with the pieces you picked, and a short note by Elise, our AI character. “See it on Elise” makes an AI image of Elise wearing your look. Every account gets a one-time welcome gift of 5 free images. While you still have welcome images, there is no separate daily free image; the free daily image (1 a day) starts the day after you used your last welcome image. Plus members get 5 images a day instead; their welcome images are not used while Plus is active and don't add to the 5 (they stay on the account for if Plus ends). A day runs from midnight to midnight UTC. Welcome images don't expire, are given once per Google account (also if you delete your account and sign in again) and can't be exchanged or transferred. A failed image is never counted. Visitors who are not logged in can't use “See it on Elise”. We may give extra images (for example to testers), and when many people use it on one day the feature can be fully booked. It doesn't use search credits and isn't sold separately. The image is an illustration made by AI: pieces may differ from the real ones, and it is not a promise about any product. Only upload photos of clothing that you may use, without people in them; we refuse photos that show a face, nudity or a possible minor. You may save and share the images for personal, non-commercial use, with the AI label left on. Don't use the feature to make images of real people.

8. Privacy

Your photo is never stored, unless you save a piece to your Plus wardrobe (then a small thumbnail is kept). How we handle your account, payment and other data is explained in our privacy policy.

9. Changes, law and complaints

  • We may update these terms. The version you accepted at purchase keeps applying to that purchase. We'll tell you about important changes on this page and, where we can, by email.
  • These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country.
