Meet Elise: our new style friend from Antwerp
Coffee on the Grote Markt, vintage finds and one cream sweater styled three ways. Say hallo to Elise, the digital muse of Wardrobe Compass.

Quick, honest note: Elise is an AI-generated character created by Wardrobe Compass. She isn't a real person and she isn't modelled on one, so think of her as our digital muse: the friend who tries every outfit first, so you don't have to.

Hallo, bonjour, hi! I'm Elise. I'm 25, I live in Antwerp, and if you can't find me, check the nearest terrace with a good cappuccino. I model, I make things for the internet, and I have a slightly unhealthy relationship with cable knits.
The team at Wardrobe Compass asked me to be their style friend: the one who shows how a single piece you already own can do a lot more work than you think. That's my favourite kind of styling, honestly. Less "buy all of this", more "kijk eens wat je al hebt": look at what you already have.
Three pieces I'd never give up
- A cream cable-knit sweater. It goes with jeans, with tailoring, with satin. It's the closest thing fashion has to a hug.
- Straight light-wash jeans. The ones that are already a little soft at the knees. Never ironed, always right.
- Tan loafers. They make jeans look intentional and trousers look relaxed. Très pratique on cobblestones, too.
My Antwerp morning
Slow start, always. A coffee on one of the terraces on the Grote Markt, with the guild houses doing their golden thing in the morning light. A little people-watching (best free style inspiration in the city). Then a wander past the vintage shops, where I tell myself I'm "just looking". Spoiler: I am rarely just looking.
And when a friend says "Gent, vanavond?", I'm in. Ghent by night, standing on the Sint-Michielsbrug with all the towers lit up, is one of my favourite views anywhere. Bring a scarf; the wind on that bridge has opinions.
The trend I'm most excited about this season
Texture, texture, texture. The Season of Texture is basically my wardrobe finally getting recognition: chunky knits, shearling, bouclé, a bit of faux fur. The trick is to mix one textured hero piece with smoother things (denim, wool trousers, satin) so it looks rich instead of fluffy. If you like the moodier side, have a look at Dark Romance too: velvet and a cream knit are secretly best friends.
One sweater, three looks
Here's the game I play with almost everything I own: one piece, three moods. Same cream sweater, three completely different days.

- Off duty: sweater, light jeans, tan loafers and a structured camel bag. Coffee optional, but recommended.
- Office: the same sweater with charcoal wide-leg trousers, pointed heels and a tan tote. Knit plus tailoring always looks a little more expensive than it is.
- Evening: a black satin slip dress with the sweater draped over my shoulders, strappy sandals and small gold jewellery. Soft against shiny: c'est tout.
Your turn
This is exactly what Outfit Formula does for you: snap one piece from your own wardrobe and get three head-to-toe looks (off duty, office and evening) with shoes, bag, jewellery and all the little extras. It's free to try, and your photo is never stored. Send it your most "I never know what to wear this with" piece. I dare you.
I'll be sharing outfit ideas and little styling games here on Wardrobe Compass. For now you can follow along on Pinterest at @wardrobecompass. Tot snel, à bientôt!
